2009 CHARDONNAY

BRONZE CLASS 123 – 2012 RUTHERGLEN WINE SHOW A deft hand has been used in the amount of oak character imparted to his wine. Only a brief period in new and second use French Oak hogshead has allowed some development of the wine without imposing too much oak or firmness to the wine allowing the fruit to dominate. The bouquet shows some complexity from the toasty peach and cashew aromas and fermentation esters. The palate is quite edgy with tropical fruits and melon flavours dominating. The wine has enough palate weight and structure to accompany a wide range of food dishes (Alcohol 13.1.%).
